Big game today, need to get that first win on the board.
No idea what team MP will pick but whoever he does pick needs to put the effort in.

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
No Pereyra, Decoure or Deeney for them, comfortable 0-3 win today!

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
I have no time for the doom and gloom knicker wetters that after 2 games have nothing more to say than we were total crap and the manager should be sacked sooner rather than later.

Let’s hope so yes!
Just don’t hold your breath...

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
Funny he played two different systems last week recognising where we needed to improve (I.e. sticking Antonio on to help us keep the ball up there)

Anyway here’s hoping he proves you wrong again tomorrow ;-)

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
It was our best away performance of the season.
Certainly doesn’t change the fact that Pellegrini is set in his ways and needs to be more creative with his formations, he’s trying to cram his best players into the team regardless of its effectiveness.

Quina to play a blinder no doubt.

John

Simply pointing out what posters said before that fixture (you were pretty vocal along those lines then as well!) and we pulled a great performance and rare result (up there) out the bag.

Are you saying it wasn’t one of the best performances of the season?

rochesterjohn 10:40 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
So you think Pellegrini is fluid in his thinking and formations?
Yarmolenko was outstanding that day, granted the platform had to be put in place for him to play.

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
I’m pretty sure when we went up to Everton last year there were more than a few posters that had us down to comfortably lose. Manager was too rigid apparently, we were definitely going down if we didn’t sack him and he should absolutely play 3 at the back.

We ended up having one of our best performances of the season and winning 1-3 which lets be honest, is a rare occurrence at that gaff. We then went on a tidy little run if I remember correctly.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow being the same.

Is anyone watching our u23 team? How's cardoso doing?

Manuel 7:49 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
Fraser- Sure, but a so called knicker wetter will put up a post of constructive fair criticism, yet the apologists have the sheer audacity to think that if they come along and rebut said post simply by calling the poster a knicker wetter, or something similar, actually wins them the argument. Incredible arrogance, and right out of the playground.

A win is the only option with Doucoure, Pereyra and Deeney out

0 - 3

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
There are some that only see the negative whatever happens and some that think the sun shines out of everything the club does.

No one is allowed to be positive/negative with either camp it makes you either a knicker wetter or board apologist, it's the rules of WHO, no middle ground only extremes.

Manuel 7:31 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
Why do the apologists always think that using the ridiculous term 'knicker wetting' wins them the argument?

Pathetic cunts.

Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
Not flapping at all, in fact i can quite easily handle a relegation if i feel the team did their best under the circumstances, it's West Ham after all we (the support) are more than accustomed to worst case happenings.

Just don't like watching a team that doesn't match the effort of its support. Maybe we should ask the season ticket prices are reduced by a month seeing as we are slow, unfit and never know our best system in the 1st month and excuses are made for them. Once they discover all that we'll start paying again eh?

Mex Martillo 6:21 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
DieHard and Fraser another way to look at it, is the exact fixtures from last year, Man City at home and Brighton away, no points and scored no goals, this season is also better looking at it like that.
Still let’s let the knicker wetters get on with their flapping.

Sven Roeder 6:20 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
I see Deeney has just had knee surgery so is out.
According to Sky Pererya & Doucoure are injury doubts.
For once it would be nice to play someone who has more players out than us.

goose 4:47 Fri Aug 23
Re: WHU team Vs Watford?
probably, but i think their injuries are a big deal.

for me it's about shape, application and approach.
do we look organised?
are we trying to win the ball back or just strolling around?
do we have a pattern of play? (plan)
